Theosophical literature, as well as traditional texts from the world's religious and philosophical traditions, are full of terminology that may be quite unfamiliar to most readers. The Theosophical Glossary, published in 1892, and reproduced here, attempts to give information on many of the principal Sanskrit, Pahlavi, Tibetan, Pali, Chaldean, Persian, Scandinavian, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Kabalistic and Gnostic terms that the student of theosophy or comparative religion/philosophy will encounter.
